African Union SHIELD Foundation & Committees

The African Union SHiELD Foundation aka AUSF is an independent body based in Monrovia, Liberia, with its core responsibilities to help oversee and supervise the development of Africa's first public-private blockchain “SHIELD” and its ecosystem. Liberia was the first African republic to proclaim its independence, and is Africa's first and oldest modern republic. It was among the few countries to maintain its sovereignty during the Scramble for Africa, and was never colonized. Liberia was founded by freed slaves from the United States, who believed the black diaspora would face better chances for freedom and prosperity in Africa. 200 years later the African Union Shield Foundation is continuing this mission, with the help of the blockchain in the same 2 countries it all started.
